Next Radiohead ? Maybe...

North Carolina natives Cities have been hard at work since the release of their self-titled debut in 2005. Along with a new album coming in the next few months, they've enlisted the help of some friends and fans on a remix album, appropriately titled Variations. On this release, songs from their debut have gotten the switch-over by the likes of Ladytron, Fog, Daedelus, and others, including one fan-made remix.

Cities has been hailed as some sort of "great hope" for American Rock, and Jane Magazine even went so far as to say "It does my American heart proud... if you dig epic sounds like early-Radiohead, Interpol, and Sunny Day Real Estate, you'd best check them out."

Even if you haven't heard their debut, you'd be foolish not to check out the songs below:

Cities - Capitol (free the robots remix)
Cities - A Theme (Mike Westbrook remix)
